Moving House

moving into my hall room has been quite a hassle as i kept making trips in between places to get all the necessities. it's pretty scary how i took some of my basic household appliances for granted and never really thought about them until now. even a simple hot water bottle is like so important. and trying to get them at a cheap price is definitely not an easy task too, and it requires a lot of housewife knowledge.

i jus made another trip from home to hall in my bro-in-law's car packed yet again with my stuff. a mini cupboard, a printer, etc... hopefully this is the last trip i'm going to make from home. *pray hard*

school has officially started for those who din know, and the fact hadn't really sunk in. lectures were introductory and the week was full of cancellation of classes (or rather lectures).

yet, i'm suddenly thrown into a whirlpool of tasks. it's very scary and surreal at the same time. surreal, in a slightly bad way. u know in nightmares, u sometimes had to do so many things at the same time? ya, something like that... ok... er... i dun tink u ppl get it. nvm. let's jus say i've gotten myself into a position where i really hav to push myself to get things done, but i simply do not hav the energy and motivation now. how? how?

hopefully things work out right. why do i always hav to hope for these kind of things? hmmph. dumbass me.

Amazing Race!

yesterday was quite a terribly exhausting day. well, not as exhausting as those hall camp days, but enuf to hav me panting thru out the whole aftnn actually. i was jus overestimating myself for being able to run to so many places within the same aftnn. i'm pretty surprised i didnt collapse halfway.

let's see now, first pit stop: Jurong Point. went there to fetch money. wait a minute, doesn't your hall hav a stupid ATM machine oso? why did u hav to go all the way to jurong point?? haha~ i'm totally not used to that fact. and jurong point's on the way anyway too ma, not much diff for me la. but one thing worth mentioning: the lunch crowd in NTU is FREAKING BIG!!! i couldn't board two consecutive 179 buses cos they're totally packed! mental note to not take 179 during lunchtimes.

din really do much at Jurong Point, so i set off for my second destination: Harbourfront Centre. it was the BiG superstore that attracted me there, cos i needed a damn cheap hairdryer with a safety logo. got one in the end for jus $12.90.

next up, Suntec City. carrefour is my main target actually. planning to get cheap hot water bottles and see if i could grab any cheap stuff by chance. haha~ got one hot water bottle, one normal water container, and one pair of gloves. cheapskate me.

ok, from then on, it's all walking. i din really wan to spend too much money on bus. so i walked all the way to the new Lee Kong Chian Reference Library to get information on something. (That's the reason for the previous post). climbed up 11 storeys to reach the Singapore Collection section and was reminded politely by the security guard to switch off my hp. altho he did it in a very polite manner, i still feel like telling him off, saying it's not my first time coming to a library. but heck, by the way i dressed yesterday (totally beng and pretentiously young looking), i gave him the benefits of the doubt. haha~

next up, Bras Basah Complex, otherwise known as Shu1 Cheng2 (City of Books). wonder how many ppl know of this term for this place. haha~ anyway, went to popular to do my stationery shopping. ya lor. but by that time, i'm feeling slightly groggy and nauseus. yee~ quickly settled down at the kopi tiam and drank a cup of teh before i went on.

supposed to meet Beldin at Bugis at 6pm, so i went to kino to look around first. not much of books to buy. two on my list now: Michael Cunningham's new book (which i forgot the title now), and J K Rowling's new instalment in the Harry Potter series. damn tempted to get Harry Potter, but managed to be persuaded out of it and when i found out i could get it at the cost price. YEA! shall wait patiently. ;)

i was feeling a bit dizzy and everything lunging the many plastic bags here and there. and further more, i'm just afraid i can't reach bugis in time to meet beldin and seeban. it was like amazing race all over again. NOOO~

*legs damn tired*,

First Day of NTU

finally officially an undergrad of NTU. haha~ am i excited? er... well, i really wanted to say "hullo? wut's so excited about going back to the life of burying our heads into books?" to sound normal, but seriously, i am pretty excited. haha~

ok, the day started off on an extremely tired note, like blowing a clarinet without enuf air... i tried to force myself out of bed at around 8am and my body jus seemed to have developed a mind of its own, especially when it started to give me back pains as i did my morning stretches. promised to meet jer for breakfast at 8:15am, but i only managed to climb out of bed at 8.

jer and i settled for breakfast at canteen A, the tip of the north spine of NTU campus. on the way there, met lots of ppl, including army frens (yih hao), ex-jc-mates (yeokhui), pri-sch mates (weiqiang). haha~ it was like a small world of NTU and everywhere i turn i meet ppl. but it's not necessary a good thing. i met liao zhenghan, and i put up a very professional looking face while making a phone call. the pretentious side of me... haiz. haha!

anywayz, yupz, i had my breakfast at canteen A, had egg prata and macdonald's iced milo. the egg prata kind of reminds me of my mum's flour cake, but the curry was nice enuf to offset the sogginess of the prata, making the prata actually taste nice.

off we go to nanyang audi to meet kokwee. weiqiang joined us there too cos he was alone. collected the nice goodie bag with the nice organiser. haha, i'm a sucker for goodie bags nowadays. keep collecting them. so cheapskate right?

IMG_1676

because we were relatively much later than the ppl who came earlier (doesn't mean we're late), we settled at a huge room with the live telecast from the actual auditorium where the procession was held. it was, well, spastic. we were staring at the screen and we could not really hear wut the professors and speakers were saying. the only interesting part was putting on the robe and saying the uni pledge.

all the while, there was a bunch of rowdy guys behind me who kept giggling at EVERY single thing. no no, the gigglings weren't jus gigglings, the gigglings were like those from pri sch guys when they were asked to hold the girls' hands. YESH~ they sounded like dumb, immature, childish ppl. so spastic.

haha, then there was the weird light up, when the lights were dimmed and we were all asked to take out the light sticks from our goodie bags to wave in the air (including us ppl in the separate room).

IMG_1677

left the ceremony early without eating the reception food (yesh, alvin, do i hear u gasping?) cos it was getting lame and boring (what the hell is the skit there for?). so we went to visit the cca fair where i met MORE ppl. signed up for quite a number of ccas, but may not join some of them AT ALL... was forced into signing some of them actually, but i did do some quality check one la, totally refused to sign up some no matter how hard they tried. so in the end, i signed for

          1. Canoeing
          2. Fencing
          3. Film Society
          4. Photo-Videographic Society

a lot right? heck.

IMG_1678

went for jiang mei qi and fan wei qi's concert in the evening at NTU's MLT with weiqiang, thanks to kokwee for the tix. the concerts quite enjoyable, but i was hoping two of them would perform more of their old songs.

went to collect textbooks from jasmine all the way at hall 15. GOSH! i got lost somewhere in hall 9, tinking there would be a path leading to there (the two halls look damn near to each other on the map). but apparently there's a thick forest in between them and i had to make a detour all the way to hall 11 to get there. damn tired from all the walking. but at least i got my notes now! haha~ thanks jas!

i'll be having my first lecture tomorrow (or rather technically today). am i thrilled? am i thrilled? am i weird to feel thrilled?

*looking-forward-to-lecture*,

Harry Potter and the Many Spoilers

Can you people stop blogging about ANYTHING about the new entry into the Harry Potter series - "The Half Blood Prince"?

i don't wish to know anything, and i don't give a damn about how u find the book, so stop writing about it!

xiaxue!! omg! how can u? argh argh... actually, i didn't really read ur most recent blog entry because the first line states something like "while the world mourns over the death of a wizard...?" *PANICK* i closed the window immediately.

i'm a poor student kid who can't afford to buy the book at its $42+ price now, so, i'm still waiting for the price to drop. DON'T COMMENT ON THE BOOK! i wan to hav a totally clean and undistracted point of view when reading the book. (shit la, i initially didn't even know that a wizard is going to die until the news article abt the pre-sale of the harry potter book came out)

and why bother to write a review? more than half the world is reading the book, and u can't possibly stop anyone from reading it no matter how bad abt the book ur review can be. and if ur review is good, wutz your point?

so shuddup ppl! let me read the book for myself kay?!

Xiang Ying 2005

went down to NAFA theatre and watch Xiang Ying 2005, the annual chinese drama production for Anglican High. jio-ed dylan to go wif me since i was forced to buy one tic when i'm given one.

supposed to meet dylan at bugis mrt, but while i was there, saw *gasp* shunxiang and both of us were shocked to see each other. third time in a row in three days. "we might as well get attached to each other now!" he said. *no no~*

anyway, dylan was ultra late (as usual), so we had to settle a quick prata dinner and rush over to nafa theatre.

Xiang Ying 2005. it's not the first time i'm going for AHS drama fest, and the prev time i went, i enjoyed myself. this time round, well, there are more plays, but the quality of the students' play were not as well done as the alumnis'.

firstly, the emcees. i didn't really like their performance for all four plays. there was this chinese girl which was speaking in a weird chinese accent, ie, a singaporean girl trying desperately to sound like a china girl, with all her words sounding monotonously high pitch. irritating~ the guy was not really good looking, and yet they kept coming up with ideas that require the guy to be handsome and arrogant. hello~ it doesn't just work for an actor to suddenly become handsome because another actress comment he is one?

the first play Shun Meng Yuan (loosely translated as "The Dream Finding Garden") was intended to be a slapstick. it turned out that the director went overboard with his ideas and the whole play turned out to be aimless and no brainer. the acting was bad, esp by the witch and the teacher. then, the rest of the cast, gosh~ they found a nerd to play the role of a hipster. *shake head* not a good start to the night. and the play ended abruptly without a very clear message of what the play wanted to convey.

next play Na Yi Ye ("That Night") was a very simple nice collage of lives of different ppl late in the night at a bus stop. the acting was nice, not too outrageous and it was all quite natural. i enjoyed it.

Ye Chang Meng Duo ("The Long Night With Many Dreams"). an alumni play which shone, conveying a message lots of ppl around the age of 20 will be most acquinted with. years after graduating from a school, and finally you're forced to go back and relive the memories. a very straightforward play with many messages to convey. It didn't really had a good script to begin with (being the sound designer, i had the luxury of reading the first draft) and i tot it required a very good cast, but the director (dear mr zou wensen) and the cast managed to pull it off very beautifully. in fact, the first time i watched the rehearsal, i was moved and touched. and it still touched my heart today as i watched it for the second time. another aspect was how interesting wensen's direction is, directing a play with a very serious message, yet reliving the tension every now and then with right-on-the-beat humour, and yet at the same time, engaging the audience in the emotional ups-and-downs of the roles in the play.

Quan Min Lian Ai ("Let Us All Fall In Love") Please don't scold me for the bad translation. According to wensen, yuneng likes to play around with ideas and produce a comedy with quite dark ideas. well, sad to say, this play isn't one of them. it felt like a collage of parodies that lumped themselves unnaturally into a play. altho there were indeed outrageously humourous moments, like the Ai He Niang Niang dressed in Nv Wa clothes, forcing the main couple to engage in a stupid game, the whole play felt fractured and directionless. The theme felt awkwardly pretentious and there were moments unnecessary. even the cast felt so, being lost at times with what they were doing and what their objectives were. in the end, the final tension and contradiction did not manage to resolve nicely. the only thing memorable from the play were the performances by the three pointless biatches appearing now and then like Scratch in Ice Age.

i did enjoy myself, esp when the emcee announced my name during the thank list. ARGH~! damn BHB~ cannot make it. haha~

Comic-fest

interestingly, i've picked up the manga craze over the course of my army life. perhaps thanks to terence low and my bro-in-law, kenneth. haha~ have been buying and reading a lot of comics. now i've got a whole shelf full of them. shucks! i feel so sinful.

anyway, i like to say i'm not really a hardcore manga fan lah. haha~ i do quality control for my selection of comics one. but now as i look at my shelf. haha~ i do doubt how good my quality control is. *lolz*

i'll keep using the word "author" below, cause i can't remember the actual word i'm supposed to use? comicist? looks wrong.

Doraemon

My favourite manga! my favourite cartoon character too! those who hav visited my room will know how doraemon-ish it is. haha~ i totally adore him. the bubbly round figure that no living thing resembles now is jus so imaginative and so cute that i just hav to crown him as the most creative icon of the 20th century! in the world of doraemon, you get to imagine what kind of tools you hope the inventors will hav created by the time you grow up. the "sui yi men" (door that brings you anywhere), the "zhu qing ting" (bamboo dragonfly), etc. haiz, doraemon makes me feel young every time. (heyz, not that i'm that old)

Detective Files of Young Kindaichi

ok, this series was introduced to me by my sister, and it was just at the period of time when i'm very into detective stories, ie, Shelock Holmes. (did i spell correctly?) wow~ i must say i really like the development of the more complicated plots, like the case of the Puppet Murderer and the Killings of Kindaichi (yesh~ sounds fun eh?). tho you get very used to the "all the riddles are solved" tagline, i still get wow-ed over by how the author can come up with so many crimes.

Detective Conan

at that time, i was pretty curious how different Detective Conan is from Kindaichi, and decided to give it a shot and bought volume 18. it was interesting, but felt the cases were not as good as Kindaichi's. Nevertheless, the plot revolving around the black guys were all worth my anticipation.

Bow Wow

those who read manga will prob know how it feels when the comics u're chasing are still far from the publication release date. it's frustrating. totally. (tink harry potter series) and so, in an attempt to try to lose a bit of the anticipation level, i bought this series to read. damn farnie. i totally love the dog character, he's just so irritating and yet so lovable. perhaps due to the fact he's so true to himself despite everyone saying he's so ugly. haha~ now that's what i call confident.

Dan Detective School Q

after the kindaichi series ended, the author started this series. of cos naturally i continued to my passion for detective cases on this. haha~

Fullmetal Alchemist

one day i visited my sis over at her place and they were watching the anime for this series on computer. and i joined in. and i got hooked. the story's revolving around the meaning of life and death, the science and philosophy of human creation and so on. it's pretty addictive and meaningful. and the art for the manga series is wonderful and sweeping black backgrounds and extragerating moments.

Naruto

i'm still not a fan of Naruto, altho i'm faithfully downloading the series every thursday night online. it's just that the funny moments were really funny and that the plot thickens around every person as the series progresses. yet, because of the prolonged fighting scenes and deliberate tear-jerker scenes, naruto isn't all that fantasic. did i say there were some scenes that were awfully drawn? (first awful moment: when naruto and gang left the village on the bridge after fighting Zabusa. eew, wut the hell is that?)

Zhao Cai Da Ji

guess how i started reading this. HAHA~ i jus picked it off the shelf cos the cat's damn cute looking. haha~ it's a series about economics and stuff, pretty interesting. my first exploration into the world of econs.

Deathnote

now this is a series i'm totally hooked on now, all thanks to wensen. the art's good, the plot's fantasic and the dialogue between the characters are so well-written that Channel 8's "Tong Xin Yuan"'s script seems written by a primary school kid! there's so much into human psychology and tactics about human conservation that it's worth anticipating EVERY chapter of the comic. wow~

ok, this is another attempt to try to fill up my blog space la, but i wanted to do this entry before i proceed to fill my second shelf with comics. hurr hurr~

*comic-crazy*,

I think I'm pregnant

had to run some family errands today for my dad, so dragged myself away from my computer console (where i was busily working on something) in a desperate attempt not to agitate my dad.

okiez, so in the end, i finished the errand and decided to make my way down to harbourfront for some electrical appliances shopping for my hall room. heard from my sis the BIG superstore there has really BIG bargains for stuff. so i happily went down, hoping to get wut i want and see wut else i can get. oh my goodness, the water-boiler is really only $9.90!

ok, enuf wif the commercials. back to the show.

anyway, after the BIG shopping (sorry for mentioning it again, it's jus so funny for a name for an electrical appliance supermart. haha~), i was jus lazing around harbourfront shopping centre when i suddenly walked past the Breeks cafe and smell... *sniff* huh? Doritos~! i looked into the cafe and saw four Catholic JC students munching on dorito chips, and i started drooling on the spot...

ok, that's exaggerating. but, almost drooling.

so, decided to buy doritos to eat. rushed (or rather walked briskly) to the nearest Cheers and was searching for a small packet of Doritos, but surprisingly they don't sell small packet. and i knew if i bought the big packet, i'll jus finished it quickly. SO UNHEALTHY! argh~ but i needed to satisfy my craving~~ *whine* heck... i jus bought it.

as i was walking out of the Cheers happily clutching my newly-bought Doritos Taco, something in the corner of the shop caught my eyes. it was posing to me! it was seducing me! it was~~ *drum roll* CAPPUCHINO KIT KAT~~!! oh shucks. unconsciously, i jus stood there glaring at the Kit Kat bars, tinking if i should buy them as well. only after a while did i realise the counter person was staring back at me. embarrassed, i dashed out of the place, at the same time, try to tell myself it's too sinful already.

wa-lau! what the hell is happening to me? it's like Puberty Stage 7 sia. either that, or i'm pregnant. ARGH~ recently, i'm really on a roll, munching on potato chips, chocolate bars, biscuits, ice cream, drowning myself with lots of sweet soft drinks. GAH~ at this rate, i tink i'm gonna become...

FAT!

.
.
.

*look at myself*

.
.
.

shit, why am i still skinny? there must be worms in my stomach. damn it. STOP IT WORMS! STOP MUNCHING ON MY FOOD WHICH I BOUGHT USING MY HARD-EARNED MONEY!

Worms: *munch-munch* wut r u gonna do? drown me wif pepsi? or bury me in more potato chips?

Me: ...

anyway, heck, shall not bother. as long as i don't become too skinny until...

what? u can't see me? oh no! i'm skinny till i'm invisible!! ARGH~!! ok ok, i shall elongate the picture so i'll look normal...

how's this?

haiz, i guess it's so difficult for me to go fat sia? sometimes when i see food, i just don't feel like eating them. don't know, but food is one temptation of normal human beings that i don't seem to get tempted with. even when i'm hungry, but if i'm not in the mood to eat, i'll just let my stomach go on growling and i just ignore it. terrible habit hor?

hopefully, this craving for food will last for quite long, then i can become quite fit. but honestly, i'm quite happy with myself being just me. ;)

*munch-munch*,

PS. the above pictures except the last has been digitally altered with, and not real representation of actual human beings. apologies for any shock induced. ;p

Trailer Watch

Elizabethtown
by Orlando Bloom, Kirsten Dunst / directed by Cameron Crowe

Orlando Bloom was in Lord of the Rings, Kirsten was in Spiderman. so did u expect an action-packed movie when u see these two names? den u will be pleasantly surprised. This sweet little comedy narrates about the life of Drew Baylor (Bloom) whom after causing the Oregon shoe company he works for to lose hundreds of millions of dollars, is fired for his mistake, and promptly also dumped by his girlfriend, Ellen (Biel). On the verge of suicide, Drew is oddly given a new purpose in life when he is brought back to his family's small Kentucky hometown of Elizabethtown following the death of his father, Mitch, as it falls to him to make sure that his dying wishes are fulfilled. On the way home, Drew meets a flight attendant, Claire Colburn (Dunst), with whom he falls in love, in a romance that helps his life get back on track. It's nice to see Bloom in a modern drama comedy film after all those drooding action movies in the aftermath of his LOTR career.

King Kong
by Naomi Watts, Adrien Brody, Jack Black, Andy Serkis / directed by Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson, fresh from Lord of the Rings, jumps into a period American film. i must say i like the visuals presented in this new trailer, Jackson retained the visual feel and settings from LOTR, and yet at the same time, put the movie back in the 1930s, creating a totally realistic retro look. nice. but as the trailer progressed, i had this feeling that King Kong is gonna be a cheap cross between Mighty Joe Young and Jurassic Park, especially with all the dinosaurs. well, i shall just wait and watch the highly-anticipated movie of the year.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
by Johnny Depp, Freddie Highmore / directed by Tim Burton

i call Johnny Depp and Tim Burton the weirdos, and i really meant that as a compliment. After Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow, i had been anticipating to see them unite once again. and the effect of that on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is just sweet. the colour visuals, the whacky dialogue, Johnny Depp's wide eyes and his accent crossing between scottish and english, everything just looked so delicious, altho the effects do seem a bit pointless. den again, it doesn't need to have a point, does it? that's why it's a candy movie. *smilez* btw, Freddie Highmore is Peter in Finding Neverland, clever choice from the producers eh?

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
by Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter / directed by Tim Burton

Am I glad or am i glad? after waiting for such a long time for Tim and Johnny's names to share space on the same poster, there's actually now two movies of such. and it's been eons since Nightmare Before Christmas that Tim Burton did something similar. the movie is dark humour, nonetheless, and has that typical Nightmare and Beetlejuice feel. it's such a nice contrast to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. and johnny depp, haha~ he's back to his stupid cowardy Sleepy Hollow days where he just screamed and screamed. cute. am i glad or am i glad?

CS Freshmen Orientation Camp

csfoc05

the 96-hours event ended yesterday morning as we all dragged our feets back home. drained, tired, sleepy, but happy.

i wasn't really expecting much from this orientation camp, honestly. but the group of friends i made during this 5 days made the camp a very fun and enjoyable ones. Dian Si Kee (my orientation group) was an active one, but most importantly, everybody were not those kind of pretentious ppl who joined the camp to really hope to get to know ppl to steal lecture notes from.

orientation camps, there are mainly four types. first is the type where the activities can be sucky, the organisers unenthusiastic and the company just sucks. second is the type were the activities sucks, but because the company is great, the whole event becomes meaningful and fun due to the things the group does. even a game of murderer can become extremely fun with great pals. thirdly is the type where the activities are damn entertaining, but the group of ppl u joined are like so passive that you don't feel like taking part in the end. fourth, is the type where both the activities and company of frens are great.

that's what CS FOC is, the fourth type.

it's amazing how different CS FOC is. the committee took a standard template and worked on each aspect of it and made the FOC their very own. the fright nights, the beach games, the blind-folding games, the dirty games. each aspect is wut one would expect, but yet each is so unpredictable that by the second day, i gave up trying to guess what was going to happen and threw myself into the atmosphere of anticipating what is going to happen.

then, there was invented games like human cluedo, where four of the seniors were acting out roles of a love triangle story throughout the first two days, making us freshies believe the story to be real until the second night when the characters start screaming at each other and a body came falling down from the third storey of the cs building. wow~ it was amazing how everything was worked out in such details. seniors were appointed to spread rumours and gossips for the first two days so that we could solve the mystery for the second night. it was the ultimate secret activity la! kudos to the acting team and all the seniors! (anyway, this activity was like telling us how gossipy the whole CS school can be. haha~!)

tried wakeboarding on the second day when all of us went to raffles marina at tuas. wow~ it was damn fun! managed to come out of the water and stand up for a mere second for each try. haha! quite a number of us were tempted to start the hobby of wakeboarding after that. come on man! how many schools have wakeboarding in their orientation?!

my OG group (Dian Si Kee) was great, altho it was pretty tough trying to fit the names to the faces of the gals. the names were all so similar! Shuwan, shujing, sarah, shuiling, xiuyun, etc. notice they all start with 'S'? haha~ the OGLs were fun too, DOng *Daniel Ong* and Zixuan. then there were the many seniors attached, like Daniel (the fake freshie), Medha (President of CI club), Carrie, Weirong, Danny, etc etc. all of them cheerful, funny, hyperactive and great!

the feeling of saying "seeya in school" at the end of the day was pretty surreal actually. perhaps the feeling of school starting hasn't really sink in yet. the whole orientation felt like a great activity that has nothing to do with actual school like (of cos despite the fact that the activities were held in NTU). oh wells, shall just take a step at a time ba.

The Beginning

finally, i would say that school life has unofficially started for me. going for CS (communication studies) orientation camp today (4 jul) until friday (8 jul). the feeling's just like the first week of school. of cos it will make me feel like school has started! haha~ esp since i'll be getting to know ppl i'll be seeing everyday for the next four years.

okiez... wow. the feelings' a bit weird. it's kind of like, mmm, it's something you look forward to? yet you do not know how it's really gonna be like? it's gonna be a different life, studying and hanging out in sch in home clothes. doing things that are really more specialised and more in depth and closer to my job scope.

the month of june had been fast. very fast. too fast for my liking in fact (but in a way, it's good, cos i've got no money to spend anyway). now it just felt a teeny-bit too sudden. haha~

crazy me. and i can't sleep. no no, i'm not that excited. it's just that ... er... next blog entry. haha~

anyway, and damn stuck between bringing all the lousy clothes or bringing a few presentable ones. my fren told me it's not gonna be that dirty. but, the idea of "asking freshies to bring throwable clothes" is... *shiver*

What I've Been Up To

The time seemed to be speeding up these days as I went by each day almost like a routine, and I've been unable to really blogging things down as I don't see any of the things i do recently significant. but heck, i tink i do need a post to end the month of june. it's already july! gosh~ most of my birthday coupons can't be used anymore, shit.

ok ok, what i've been up to.

most of the days i find myself waking up at 12pm, such luxury isn't it? and i would wake up trying to tink of wut i should do for the day, and then, will start coming down to my dining table for lunch at 1pm, still unable to settle on what things i should be doing. at 1.30pm, i will wander back to my room, lying on the bed, tinking i shouldn't be doing so, and drag myself out of bed at 2pm, change out of my sleeping-wear and get ready to go out.

of cos, there would be some exceptional cases. on monday, woke up early tinking dad would be home and we would go to the bank to settle the Tuition Fee Loan. heck, he went for work, and i lazed around the house for a whole morning.

wednesday, woke up at a scary 8am to catch a 10.05am "War of the Worlds" with mom at cineleisure. no no, shant give a review on it. perhaps just a statement. WATCH IT! it's gonna be full of spoilers if i were to give a review on it. perhaps you'll see one review two weeks later. not now. definitely.

after the movie, went shopping alone and bought quite a lot of clothes for my uni life. it's pretty scary. the one thing i'm actually worrying about is not how i'm going to cope with the studying life, but how i'm going to settle the clothes issue! in army, i still hav the luxury of having 2 sets of wear each week, having the excuse of only wearing each set for only at most 3 hours each day. but uni! gosh~ i can't wear the same t-shirt for consecutive two days! heck, i don't care if u're saying i'm meterosexual or too health conscious.

so, anyway, if u've been meeting up wif me recently, you'll know i've been carrying a book called "A Sense of Direction" by William Ball, and have been working on rewriting some script. heck, i'm getting slightly stressed up over it, mumbling to myself sometimes on the road. woo~ i'm really looking forward to this! i've quitted two bands, and gonna put all my energy and effort into this!

oh yar~ have been watching my downloaded episodes of LOST with mum! yup, she is one of the few ppl to have already known the story line up to episode 11 now. we've been watching at least 2 episodes per night (you do the maths for when we started watching), and the sheer amount of twists and turns is scary enough to force my mum to stay awake until 11+pm to endure thru an extra episode before reluctantly going to bed. btw, normally my mum sleeps at 9pm.

tomorrow (or rather today) will be going out wif a fren who bang4 seh3 me on my birthday party. finally on leave huh? haha~

not planning to sleep i guess. too many things to work on, yet not much mood to get things rolling. heck~ that's the trouble of waking up at 12pm everyday. haiz... haha~
