Another year, another idol. haha, i wonder if by the time American Idol X, will i hav like 8 idols. keke. (i missed the first 2 seasons)

so... the new American Idol is crowned, Carrie Underwood.



well, i must admit, i didn't really catch much of this season's episodes. caught a few episodes here and there. guess the few ppl who stood out were constantine, bo bice and carrie underwood. constantine becos of the weird way he sang his songs, like his in some mesmerizing mode with his eyes; bo bice cos he's so natural, especially when he did the terribly old song "Stand By Me"; carrie underwood cos... er... *blushes* she resembles Reese Witherspoon, and a much prettier version too... so... *blushes*

but when i saw her singing "Bless the Broken Road" (in the same episode as Bo doing "Stand by Me") she really did stand out. wow~ den yh had been supporting her too, so it's quite thrilling when Carrie managed to get to the finals.

it was pretty weird to hear the finale. i must say i was disappointed. carrie was darn nervous la and bo was like so natural. performance-wise, i must say carrie was a bit shaky, whereas bo was jus giving his all trying to prove himself better than carrie, and he did, in that last episode. so, i was really crossing my fingers when the results were almost announced.

and stoopid ryan seacrest had to say "and the winner is Carrie Underwood" in a very quick and matter-of-fact manner which was difficult to digest until i heard carrie sobbing in a sea of screams. haha~

congrats~ carrie. a country girl, a country singer. pure, simple and beautiful.

and that's a compliment to her looks, her character and her voice. :)
