ok, i know this entry sucks... but, i still hav to do it!

jus checked my livejournal acc (which is subscribed to a number of hobby groups... mainly movies and soundtracks group), and found out that American Film Institute (AFI) revealed the top 25 film scores of all time in The Big Picture-AFI's 100 Years
of Film Scores. And John Williams has 3 FILM SCORES in the top 20!! WONDERFUL!

#1 STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE (1977)
#6 JAWS (1975)
#14 E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL (1982)

i just love John Williams!

PS. For those who didn't know, there's a new international trailer for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at Yahoo! Movies. do check out! and i really feel Patrick Doyle is doing much justice to John Williams original themes for the Harry Potter series! It's damn cool!

 

i went back home last night, leaving the room to my roomie, 'cause i'm meeting my mom to shop this morning. well, it has been a while since we go out together, and i felt i've sort of neglected her ever since i've moved to hall. so well, promised her i'll go out with her today too.

and then, i came back to hall. i put the key into the keyhole, turned and pushed the door gently... it doesn't open. i pushed it harder, the door opened slightly, to reveal *with horror* lots of things all over the place. Oh my goodness, i couldn't even open the door! i pushed and pushed and heard a *BANG*... i looked at the back of the door... my roomie's laptop bag fell down. heck~ his bag was in the way together with *look around* LOTS OF IKEA STUFF!

i tried really hard to walk into the room without tripping over his ikea bags. and then, *more horrors* in his effort to find space to put his ikea stuff, he dumped his stuff over my area oso, until i was like *wa*. the rubbish bin was in the middle of nowhere near my bed, a long ikea box lies diagonally across under my chair, my mini folderable chair went to the other side of the room! where is my space?

the toilet door was open. smell is filling the room. i closed the door and proceeded to spray our room with air freshener. (i'm trying to be polite.) then, i turned on my lappy and wanted to do my assignment which is due in 2 hours time.

then, my roomie came running out of the toilet, asking me to take a look at the toilet bowl which he said was leaking. i went to the cubicle and saw 'dark waters' (quoting my roomie) oozing out from the bottom of the bowl. *horrors part 3*...

somehow, somewhere in my brain, a mental note came. i shall not leave the room to my roomie alone anymore...

My first showcase is finally out!

I've successfully completed the music for the new Spectrum trailer shown in all the NTU plasma tvs. the music u hear while u watch ppl run is composed by me! yea yea! i'm so happy... spent the whole night trying to complete one wor~ damn stressed...

Forgot to mention that Alvin finally satisfied his crafting for Malaysian KFC at Holiday Plaza. *ops* forgot to take pictures of him devouring the delicacy. *note to someone* i told u malaysian KFC is different and i'm not the only to think so! HA!

After Holiday Plaza, Kee Haw insisted we walked to Da Ma Hua Yuan (Taman Sentosa) even tho the cab ride is at most gonna cost us RM$3-$4 (that's around RM$1 each, and that's less than S$0.50!). and because of the 4pm evening sun (which is still quite hot), we were all complaining and screaming at the top of our voices... or at least alvin and joy were.

Have really let loose that much ever since all the FOCs ended. Last friday (16 Sep) i finally got my chance to become crazy once again. This time i got trigger happy too~ haha.

We Hall 2 Production had a trip to JB that day, but sadly only 7 ppl managed to turn up. but the trip was quite enjoyable in the end too! we "sort of" joined forces with DnD as they were coincidentally having the same trip organised that day, well, "sort of" cos we kept bumping into them, and also because 45% of my cast is in the DnD committee as well (i discovered only that day. Ha!)

supposed to meet at 11am at Kranji, but i woke up at 10:30am back in hall. didn't do much grooming and had to rush all the way.. er... up north to kranji. damn hectic.

and by the time i reached there, i was quite surprised to see only *gasp* 4 ppl from hall prod comm. there were like familiar faces everywhere tho, and discovered they were the DnD comm members. i looked arnd and was like "eh, kee haw called up the cast to come down oso meh?" den i realised... wah lao~ such coincidence. it's either coincidence or that there are really limited onz ppl in hall 2. mmm... ok, i choose to read the former.

and finally, after a long wait for janice, we boarded the 170...






in short, we went to City Centre, stayed there quite long shopping (the girls were swimming in the sea of fashion while the guys parade around disgusted with the cheesy clothes for guys... ok, it's jus me). then we proceeded to holiday plaza, i tink it was because i needed to get... something. the female taxi driver was damn rude to us, even i was like all smiley face and polite and "thank you miss~~"... damn it. and she was a damn reckless driver, adding herself into my black list of female drivers only. pui~!

My NEW Powerbook is finally here! And without me bugging the 8-flags people. How good is that! muahaha~


It may be 12", but heck, i don't really need that good a notebook ma. anyway, potability is more important this time round.

And this is the Powerbook! Still wrapped nicely in a soft cover.


And into the world, it is born! Look how new it is? oh gosh~ i almost feel like i'm giving birth...


I need to take the laptop out of the cover. *Turn around* what's this? oh sheesh... seriously, what if i don't agree? return the laptop back to the shop and demand a refund? duh~

Oh ya, i haven't charge the battery. damn.

And so, i fished out the power adapter and was damn surprised at how convenient and stylo it can be at the same time!


Notice i can twine the unused part of the wire all together with the two hooks available? there're actually foldable and will go back to the initial square shape when i store it. How cool can it get?!

everything about the packaging is damn stylish. the designers really put a lot of effort into trying to package it the way they designed the powerbook itself. the stylish, minimalistic feel can be felt in every corner of the whole package, down to the manuals themselve. i totally adore this lovely product! even if it may take me some time to adjust back to the mac days. ;)
